The Daily WTF - The Inner-Platform Effect:
...but noticed that one particularly egregious (though, thankfully, rare) antipattern...Rare? Rare? In almost all the projects I participated in, somebody told me at one time or the other "... and to make the database extra-flexible, we could just have a table with a field name and a value in it." Yes, "poor me".
